Orient Weekend gathered that Mr. Asim’s alleged discrete sexcapades involving a lady and , resulted in a botched which is now a subject of police investigation in the ‘Peoples Paradise’ State. The ex-commissioner, reportedly began his love affair with the woman identified as Mrs. Stella, wife of a deceased Calabar-based pastor, before eventually co-opting into what is now referred to as threesome love affair. Things later went awry following a third, but unsuccessful , allegedly procured

James Ibor, principal counsel of the Basic Rights Council Initiative (BCRI), a child’s rights monitor, which is now working towards bringing the suspect to justice, gave an insight into the development. According to Mr. Ibor, Mrs. Stella was married to a popular Calabar-based pastor who was a good friend of Asim and bore two children for the deceased of God. Hear him:  “Since the death of the pastor, Mr. Asim has been “helping” the family and had been their benefactor for years now. Immediately the girl started maturing, he took interest and started both of them (daughter and mother). “The victim, who is a student

of the Federal Government Girls College, Calabar was cautioned by her mother not to divulge any information while collaborating with the randy ex-mayor. “The former Mayor of Calabar and Special Adviser to Gov Ayade has been sexually abusing the girl for many years even before she became a teenager. But the third on the victim exposed the unholy act. “From the examination that has been carried out so far, preliminary results have shown that the girl’s uterus has been partially perforated and she may likely not be able to conceive again. “Her teacher discovered and shared the story on a WhatsApp page where rights activist and the founder of Project Alert, a non-governmental organization, NGO, which specialises in handling such cases, Mrs. Josephine

Chukwuma, is a subscriber and she called us. “We had to investigate and informed the police that led to the arrest of Mr. Asim and Ms. Stella. We have received several calls from various powerful people to step down the matter but the crime is against humanity, the girl needs to be protected.” Spokesman of the police in the state, Irene Ugbo, who confirmed the development, said the command would do everything to get to the root of the matter and ensure that justice was done. She said: “We are on top of the matter and we want to get all the facts of the case so as to charge the matter to court. “We are leaving no stone unturned because the law must take its course. It doesn’t matter the figure or whose ox is gored; justice must be served. The law must prevail.”
