Obosi PG vows to deal with cultists, drug barons, kidnappers

Irked by the incessant devilish activities of , barons, kidnappers and other criminals in , Idemili North local government area, Anambra state, the president general, PG, of the community, Chief Ikechukwu Okoro, yesterday vowed to them decisively.

According to him, “I will convey a meeting of those suspected , barons, kidnappers and other criminal elements operating in whether indigenes or non-indigenes and warned them to desist from their criminal activities and after the meeting and they continue in their criminal activities, I will not spare them”.

Okoro expressed optimism that he would restore the lost glory of the community and urged for the support of the people in the community. He said he was disturbed that the community has been in the news of recent over criminal activities being perpetrated by the youths who see crime as quick means to enrich themselves.

He hinted that his effort to fight crime and criminality in the community would not be realised without the cooperation of the police and other security operatives adding that all hands must be on desk in achieving positive result.

Recall that the Special Anti-Cultism Squad, SPACS, of the state police command led by its commander, Mr Christopher Bassey, (CSP) sometimes described Obosi as number one community in cultism activities.

It is gathered that in Obosi every youth is a suspect and, in most families, drug barons operate unchallenged.
