Irked by the defection of Chukwuemeka Odumeg­wu Ojukwu (Jnr) the son to the late Biafra warlord, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwy Ojukwu, to ALL Progressive Congress, APC, an ex-Nigeria International boxer, Chief Ed­win Ogbonna, alias Super, has come out bold and told Ojuk­wu (Jnr) to stop betraying the Igbo nation by returning to All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).

According to him, “Ojukwu (Jnr) should retrace his foot steps and return to APGA and avoid Betraying Ndigbo and working on the contrary to the legacies of his father”.

He expressed dismay that the son of Igbo leader would leave the Father’ party that is the identity of the Igbo nation to join a party that has plunged the country into the present economic doldrums.

It would be recalled that Ojukwu (Jnr) defected to the APC during the 2017 guberna­torial election in which Gover­nor Willie Obiano won with a landslide victory.

The ex-International box­er had sequel to the victory, surge the Governor to also join the Presidential race on the platform of APGA. Super who fought in the ring for 32 years and retired as West African Middle weight fighter with many titles said that he was inspired to drag Obiano into the highly intricate Presiden­tial race following his discov­ery that Divine Providence of Alaigbo is behind his sojourn into politics.

The Ex boxer who is now sport promoter and patron of Nigeria Pro Wrestling Fed­eration noted that going by Obiano’s smooth consecutive victories in two governorship elections in Anambra State, simply indicate that his ven­ture into politics has a strong backing of Divine Providence adding that his victory in the governorship election last year saved APGA from going into extinction.

The sports promoter who hails from Amaokpara in Nkw­ere Council Area of Imo State explained in his observation that Obiano having saved APGA from collapse has all it takes to move the party up­ward to the nation seat of pow­er in Aso Rock.

His words, “let me say that Obiano has been ordained to take up the struggle for Nigeria top seat from Late Biafra war­lord Dim Chukwuemeka Ojuk­wu who run for Igbo presiden­cy under APGA in 2003, Aso Rock the destiny of APGA and the vision of Ojukwu which Ndigbo have to pursue.

“I believe that with the sup­port of Ndigbo and support of well meaning Nigerians who are disenchanted with other political parties parading Hau­sa and Yoruba backgrounds and championing the interests of their regions instead of in­terests of Nigerians, it is not impossible to enthrone Igbo President under APGA”.
