Awake Action Movement (ADAM), a pro-eastern Nigeria action group, has the federal government to Fulani a terrorist organization and stop them from further attacks on Nigerians.

They also Christian groups in Northern Nigeria to unite and have a common front and partner ADAM to protect lives and property of themselves and Easterners, living in the North, from what they termed “the evil trend going on in northern Nigeria”.

The group in a communiqué issued after its meeting in Aba, Abia state, also issued 6-months ultimatum to the federal government, to start the process of total restructuring of Nigeria in such a way that the system will guarantee maximum protection for lives and property of the ethnic groups in the country.

The communiqué, which was signed, by Bro. Ndubuisi Igwekani, acting chairman, ADAM and Chief James Ekpo acting secretary, ADAM, in a copy made available to Orient Daily, called on all elected politicians in the South-East to be accountable to the people.

They stated that henceforth ADAM will monitor every project assigned to Easterner Nigeria, from federal government and international development partners and expose every evil and corrupt practice in eastern Nigeria.

According to them, the era of reckless spending of public resources is over in Eastern Nigeria. “ADAM will ensure that our people demand transparency and accountability from every elected public officer in eastern Nigeria.

“We will mobilize the entire youth in eastern Nigeria to deal with any elected officer, who fails in his/her duties to account to the people”.

In the forthcoming elections, the group called on all easterners, especially the youths to actively participate in the elections, according to their conscience knowing full well those, who have performed in the past or those, who have the potential to perform according to the trust of the people.

The group said it is monitoring some Igbo political contractors, who rush to their pay masters in the North and other parts of the country to collect evil money to destabilize the people of the South-East region. “Henceforth, we will monitor and expose them to bring sanity and peace to our land.

On crime, ADAM warned youths involved in kidnapping, armed robbery, cultism, swindling (yahoo, yahoo), gambling, prostitution, child trafficking and all manner of violent extremisms, just to get rich overnight, to desist from such acts. “We hereby warn that it will not be business as usual. We have set up a security watch to coordinate with security agents to expose all manner of evil activities perpetuated by youths in whatever disguise”.

It however stated that it would seek to collaborate with well meaning organizations, local and international to ensure that youths from the South-East region have the right skills and resources to attain the highest possible achievement in science, technology and industry and in arts and culture, such as in Nollywood and entertainment.

The group also condemned attacks on Igbo’s in different parts of the country, especially the Northern Nigeria, and warned that it will no longer tolerate or accept any further attack on any easterner, by any group of people, whether Police, Nigeria Military, Fulani , Boko Haram, Miyetti Allah cattle breeders or whatever name they are called.

“ADAM will retaliate with appropriate measure and brutal force, including military strike, economic espionage and any other means considered equal and opposite reaction to any form of unjustified evil attack on our people”, they stated.

Awake Action Movement (ADAM), a pro-eastern Nigeria action group, was formed in 2018, to bring together in a single united front, all pressure groups within the entire old eastern region of Nigeria.
