IPOB condemns arrest of members in Abia

IPOB condemns arrest of members in Abia - state police commissioner, members, jewish worshippers, IPOB, for biafra, arrest, abia state police

The proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB recently condemned the alleged incessant of engaged in ‘peaceful rally and sensitization for Biafra referendum on Tuesday.

Speaking through a press release signed by the group’s media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful, the group asked the commissioner to release the “54 innocent citizens of Biafra who were doing a peaceful evangelism in Umuahia for Biafra freedom.”

IPOB blamed Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State and commissioner for “any damage arresting and confining the 54 would cause in Abia State if they fail to release them.”

“Okezie Ikpeazu and police commissioner must release those arrested without further delay or they will live to regret what will come upon them soon,” the release read.

It reiterated that the IPOB would remain firmly rooted in the peaceful way to realize Biafra and would not “become violent organization because of high handedness Nigeria Government and her security agencies especially police and army officers.”

The group however enjoined the commissioner of police to “stop this humiliation and harassment forthwith on anybody identified with IPOB family worldwide or face the consequences.

The group alleged that the “Abia police commissioner and other security officers in Umuahia Abia state are working hard to please their Hausa Fulani slaves masters in Abuja but Hausa Fulani caliphate and their collaborators must deny them at the appropriate time.”

It would be recalled that the Indigenuous People of Biafra was proscribed and all their activities declared terrorism by the Federal Government through the Supreme Court of Nigeria and the South East Governors, a move that has attracted so many criticisms from various quarters.

However, thousands of IPOB took to the streets on Tuesday dressed in white and other regalia identified with Judaism. They were reportedly engaged in street peaceful protest in favour of the Biafra cause.

The group said its leadership will not fail to notify Jewish Community all over the world, particularly Jewish worshipers in Israel and other parts of the world over the latest of Jewish protesting for Biafra freedom in Umuahia. The statements read in parts: “IPOB is firmly rooted with peaceful way to restore Biafra and cannot change its resolve to become violent organization because of high handedness Nigeria Government and her security agencies especially police and army officers are using against IPOB members since inception of this peaceful means adopted by our supreme leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

“We are calling on Nigeria Police and Army officers to stop this humiliation and harassment forthwith on anybody identified with IPOB family worldwide or face the consequences. We are aware that Abia police commissioner and other security officers in Umuahia Abia state are working hard to please their Hausa Fulani slaves masters in Abuja but Hausa Fulani caliphate and their collaborators must deny them at the appropriate time.

“We promise to remain peaceful in every of our approach asking Nigerian government never push IPOB to pick up arms against anybody because it won’t be good to all and sundry in Nigeria.
