The proprietor of Calvary Schools, Okpoko, in Ogbaru local area of Anambra state, Rev. Canon Christian Anumoka, has urged to in the state to boost the standard of education.

He said that with adequate and financial grants from , schools would be positioned to contribute better in reducing the number of out-of-school children.

Canon Anumoka, who made this call in an interview with Orient Daily, further harped on the need to inculcate morality in pupils from cradle, remarking that it should start from the schools.

According to him, the state should provide enabling environment for to thrive. School management belongs to government, but it was the government’s inability to run it as supposed that brought in private owners.

“So, adequate efforts should be given to this private investors, especially the ones doing wonderfully well. remain the saviour of our rotten educational system”.

He further advised students to shun cultism and other related social ills, while regretting that “some primary school pupils are now belonging to cult groups. It is evil and we must fight it.
