, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra state, Prof. Joseph Eberendu Ahaneku, says he has been able to re-position and give a face-lift to the institution in the last four years of his administration.

said this during the pre- press briefing with the newsmen in his office, last Monday.

Ahaneku, who is set to hand over the baton of leadership on June 3, 2019, said that, under his watch, the university had improved in infrastructure, research and academic excellence and that the university had kicked off its ceremonies with interdenominational service.

He said that, as part of activities marking the 2017/2018 convocation ceremonies, that Prof. Julius Okojie, the former executive secretary, National Universities Commission (NUC), would be a guest of honour on Tuesday, during the Research Fair.

He said that the former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Muhammadu Jega would, on Wednesday, chair the convocation lecture university.

He also said the former Senate President, Sen. Ken Nnamani, would deliver the lecture titled, “National Integration, Peace and Development”.
