The state commissioner for commerce and industry, Mr Chika Ossai, who spoke to journalists in Asaba on Monday, said he was committed to accelerated industrialisation and enhanced commercial activities as his priorities within the next four years.
He explained that through well-articulated and accelerated industrialisation, the economic index of the state would be enhanced as more job opportunities would be created thereby reducing the unemployment ratio of the state.
“Industries are part of the ministry and at present, the moribund industries in the state would be revamped and within four years we will definitely look at them with view of reviving them as this will be very important lots of the youths have no job after their University education.so if we focus on industrialization, a good number of those youths would be absorbed and will a long way in reducing crime”, the commissioner said.
Ossai warned against any form of inactivity among staffers of the ministry.
