- new Exco inaugurated in Anambra
The National Chairman of the Progressive People’s Alliance, PPA, Comrade Peter Ameh, has declared that his party’s brand of political opposition is not name-calling; that it is rather constructive and is geared towards the overall interest of the electorate.
According to Ameh, “we want to reorganise the party in Anambra state; we want to reposition PPA in the state. We don’t want what happened during the governorship election of November 18, 2017 to repeat itself “.
“Our democracy is growing and improving at a slow pace but I still believe that we will get to our destination one day, “Ameh said.
Speaking on behalf of the new executive, the state chairman, Sir Dan Igbokwubili, said their predecessors came to ridicule the party in the state and not to lead, the very reason it performed poorly during the election.
He said the party’s new executive would strive to salvage the situation, noting that those elected to lead it were all tested hands, promising that they would not disappoint the people.
