Four days to the general elections, women and youth support group have commenced door to door campaign for the president in Ebonyi state and have assured President Muhammadu Buhari of massive votes in Ebonyi state.
Launching the group in Abakaliki, state coordinator, Chief Austin Edeze, charged the group to move to the grassroots as APC would win 85% of Ebonyi votes if not 100% far from what he got in south east in 2015.
He said that the mandate given to them at the national level, was to deliver the president on 16 and every other candidate of the party on March 2 and the mandate must be realized through proper voters education and sensitization.
He warned that anybody who intend to sabotage the group should resign his appointment as he would not tolerate such. “This is Ebonyi state chapter of women and youth presidential campaign whose mandate is to move to door to door and canvas vote for president Buhari reelection.
“You are aware of the national body of women and youth presidential campaign. I was appointed as the state coordinator of the group.
“The assurance Mr. President gave to us while inaugurating us was that those that worked for him will be settled first after the election. That nothing will stand our way in executing the job because while in Abuja our names have been sent to security agencies as people working for Mr. President reelection, that it is not business as usual that those who worked will be rewarded.
The National Population Commission, commissioner in the state, Hon Darlington Okereke, secretary of the group, Ann Nwanyibuife Agomeze and Paul Okorie and other members in their separate remarks, charged Ndigbo to work extra hard to get the opportunity ahead of them by voting for the All Progressive Congress (APC).
