Apparently angry with below average performance of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Cross River State, in the just concluded general elections, a Chieftain of the party in the state and an avowed critic of the Gov. Ben Ayade-led administration, Mr. Ifere Paul, has lambasted his party men for APC’s failure.
Taking to his Facebook page to express his disappointment, Mr. Paul said it was unnecessary for some members to celebrate the victory of the party in other states while they could not stand their ground to deliver even their polling units.
“If every APC or Ayade critics had stood firm at their polling units, we should all have been proud to celebrate our units rather than celebrating other states where you don’t live or are not from. I am proud to say that I won my polling unit for the APC,” he said.
Recall that the party could only win Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency despite all efforts and resources at their disposals, a situation some of the members said was as a result of the political face-off between the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Pastor Usani Usani, and the senator representing Cross River Central, Sen John Owan Enoh.
